A Punjab crew that travels to Mumbai
We are not a Mumbai production house and we do not keep an office there. Our studio is in Punjab and our core crew flies in for each shoot. That is a deliberate choice. Mumbai has no shortage of crews, but it is easy for a project to pass through several hands between the pitch and the final edit. With us, the director who shapes the idea runs the set, the producer who books the locations manages the day, and the editors who finish the work know exactly what was intended.
We arrange travel, scheduling, location access and permits for every shoot, and bring in local support where a production needs it. Briefs and reviews happen remotely, with every cut on one review link.
The brands Mumbai is known for
This is where Indian fashion, jewellery, beauty and entertainment meet money and media. Designer labels, heritage and contemporary jewellers, beauty and personal-care brands, premium restaurants and hotels, and a growing wave of direct-to-consumer brands all compete for the same discerning audience. We are most at home with jewellery, fashion and beauty briefs, where craft and finish carry the story.
Mumbai audiences have grown up around film sets and advertising agencies. They notice a lazy frame, a flat grade or weak casting immediately, and the work has to meet that eye.
The city on camera
Mumbai’s visual range is extraordinary. The Art Deco apartment blocks along the seafront, the Victorian Gothic grandeur of the old Fort district, the lanes and bungalows of Bandra, the fishing villages and sea walls, the old mills now turned into galleries and restaurants, and the sweep of the Arabian Sea at sunset. There is warmth and grain everywhere, which gives even a simple fashion story a sense of place.
The weather sets the calendar. The monsoon, roughly from June to September, brings heavy rain and grey skies that make exteriors unpredictable, though some brands deliberately use the drama of it. The months after the monsoon through to early spring are the most dependable window for outdoor work, with cleaner air and gentler light. Pre-monsoon summer is hot and humid, so we keep exteriors short and early.
How Mumbai audiences watch
Instagram Reels and YouTube dominate, and much of the conversation moves between English and Hindi, often in the same sentence. Creator content and celebrity-adjacent campaigns are a big part of the market, which raises expectations for polish on brand-owned channels. Festive and wedding seasons create intense peaks of demand, so content for them has to be planned and shot well ahead.

Planning a Mumbai shoot
We start with a remote brief and return a scoped plan with a quote. Pre-production covers casting, locations and permits, a weather-aware schedule and a shot list that captures every format at once. One well-planned shoot day can become a month of content, and a typical shoot moves from brief to first edits in about two to three weeks. For festive launches, we plan backwards from the date so nothing is shot in a rush. Our guide to content calendar planning explains how.
Studio days in Punjab
Jewellery, beauty and fashion accessories often look their best in a controlled studio. You can ship products to our Punjab studio for macro film, tabletop work and campaign photography, reviewed on the same link as a Mumbai location shoot. It is a practical way to keep a steady flow of product content between bigger city shoots.
