What product videography is for
A good product video does the job a customer's hands would do in a shop. It shows how a surface catches light, how a clasp closes, how a fabric falls, how big the thing really is. For a premium product, that is often the difference between a considered purchase and an abandoned basket.
We make product films for brands whose products are the story: jewellery and watches, beauty and fragrance, fashion accessories, homeware, spirits, and considered consumer technology. Our clients are usually marketing and e-commerce leads who need a library of footage that works on product pages, in paid media and on retail partner screens at once. If you are deciding which kind of product film you need, our guide to types of product video compares the options.
How we approach it
Light is the product
Polished metal, glass, gemstones and glossy packaging reflect everything in the room. We design the lighting for each surface, using large soft sources, flags and cards to shape reflections so that edges are defined and nothing unwanted appears in the product. Matte materials get harder, raking light so their texture reads.
Motion with intent
Every move has a purpose: a slow push to reveal a detail, a turn to show a profile, a pour to show viscosity. We use motorised sliders and turntables for moves that must repeat exactly, so a series of products shot on different days still matches.
Scale and hands
Macro shots flatter a product but can hide its size. We always plan a few frames that show scale, usually with a hand, a wrist or an everyday object, and we cast hand models carefully because a close-up reveals everything.
Studio or location
| Criterion | Studio | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Detail, texture, consistent catalogue footage | Lifestyle context, mood and use in real life |
| Control | Total control of light and background | Light and weather shape the day |
| Consistency across a range | Very high, ideal for many products | Harder to match across products |
| Your time | Ship products to us, review remotely | Your team usually joins on the day |
| Typical use | Product pages, marketplaces, ad inserts | Brand content, social, campaign films |
Many projects combine both: studio detail for the page, location footage for the story.
For studio work you can ship products to our studio in Punjab. We handle them with care, log their condition on arrival and return them after the shoot. For location work our crew travels to you.
What is included
- A shot list agreed with you before filming, product by product.

- Macro, motion-control and turntable footage, plus scale shots with hands or models where needed.
- Edit, colour grade matched to your photography, sound design and licensed music.

Formats and where it is used
The same product footage typically feeds product page loops and galleries, marketplace listings, paid social placements in vertical and portrait ratios, retail and window screens, and presentations for buyers and partners. We plan the shot list against that full list so that each shot is framed for the ratios it needs, rather than cropped into them later.
What drives the budget
The number of products, how different they are from one another, the amount of motion-control work, whether hands or models are needed, and how many edits and ratios you need per product all shape the quote. A range of similar items shot on repeatable setups is efficient. A handful of very different objects, each with its own lighting, takes longer per piece. Reflective and transparent products take more time than matte ones.
How to brief us
Send the product list with images, where the footage will live, any launch dates, and examples of product films you like. Tell us whether you need consistency across a large range or a small number of hero films. Categories with particular demands, such as jewellery and watches and beauty, benefit from an early conversation about samples and handling. Our guide to filming jewellery covers the technical side.
